Mom and Dad always said, “Be sure to eat your fruits and veggies.”

They were trying to look out for you and make sure you were healthy.  But what happens when you’re grown up and on your own and there’s no one there to you to eat your fruits and veggies?  Staying healthy in your daily life is important, especially when you work.  Here are three helpful tips to help keep you healthy in the workplace:

  1. Drink plenty of water. Staying hydrated throughout the day is extremely important.  It truly keeps you going.
    • Recommendation from Innovate: Try and find a water bottle with the ounce marks on it. This way you can keep track of how much you drink.
  1. Healthy snacks are the best snack. It’s always best to go for yogurt, veggies, and fruits.  Salty and heavy snacks can leave you feeling sluggish throughout the day.  Healthier snacks give you more energy and allow you to give your best performance.
  2. Get out in the sun and get some fresh air when you have a break.  If you have walking space at your workplace, or even if just go out to your car and roll the windows down, getting fresh air helps to clear your mind and get back to your tasks at hand.  This one has become a new favorite with the Innovate team J
