New Women-Owned Technology Company Opens its Doors in the Upstate!
SC Natives, Paula Fulghum and Allison Duncan joined forces with a vision to create a unique online benefits platform for employers and insurance agents. Having great expertise in the human resources outsourcing field, Fulghum encountered a missing element in the market and approached Duncan, a childhood friend, who had previously founded a successful Silicon Valley consulting firm, to develop a software service that would allow insurance agents to more effectively serve their small business clients. They recruited Product Designer, Chantal Buard and started development in 2012.
In November 2013, Innovate Benefits launched its beta and began on-boarding their first clients. Fulghum and Duncan are excited to bring this new approach to the HR/Benefits market and welcome those employers, HR professionals and insurance agents who are tired of dealing with paper and being told they are “too small” to have great self-service technology.
